Re-opening Glazebury Methodist Church for services
A lot of preparation has taken place to get us there.
Things will be quite different as we get used to the 'new normal'.
Doors will open at 10.00am with the service starting at 10.30am.
The service will be the same as broadcast centrally by our Circuit and the Liverpool North Circuit on the phone.
The only difference will be that you'll be able to see the people taking part.
Please arrive in good time, you will be required to queue outside following social distancing regulations.
- Test and Trace forms must be completed prior to entry
- Face masks must be worn
A one way system is in operation.
Entrance only is by main porch, where you be greeted and given instruction.
We have 2 dedicated exits — the church is exited by the old vestry, the hall is exited by the hall side door.
You are welcome to follow the songs / hymns / bible reading, but we are not able to provide any books, these have been removed to prevent cross contamination.
- No singing is allowed.
- No refreshments will not be provided (if you require a drink you must bring your own)
Whilst we are not allowed to take an offertory during the service, there will be a table available for monetary offerings. The preferred method of giving after a service is by debit / credit card contactless payment.
Social distancing of 2 metres remains in place throughout the premises. Hand sanitizer stations are in place in the main entrance /church and hall which must be used on entrance and exit.
Chairs are in a fixed position to achieve the correct social distancing requirements and must not be moved.
The toilets are available, but you must follow the one in one out rules.
Maximum capacity Of the Church is 18-22 people (dependant on household status).
Maximum capacity of the Hall is 12 people. The service will be relayed into the Hall.
Unfortunately, as we are strictly limited to the numbers of people allowed in the building at any one time we must work on a first come first served basis. Please do not be offended if we are not able to let you enter the building.
If you feel unwell, please stay at home.
Having said all that, we can't wait to welcome you.
