Bake Off at Bedford

There is to be a Circuit 'BAKE OFF' event in the Community Hall at Bedford Methodist Church on Saturday 16th June commencing at 10am. All proceeds from this event are to go to Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF). In planning this event for MAF, we considered Revd Vivienne Smith's plans for more Circuit events and hence the invitation for entries from all churches within the Leigh & Hindley Circuit.
The event is open to everyone: dads, mums, grannies, teachers, children.....
There are 3 sections in each category: adults, children under 11 and children 11-16.
The 3 categories are — scones, Victoria sponge cake & miscellaneous bake e.g. tray bake, fruit cake, flapjacks.
There will be a prize for each category winner.
Open to everyone — dads, grannies, teachers, children!
There is a £2 entrance fee which will include tea/coffee/cold drink and slice of cake/scone of your choice. Refreshments will be served from 10am until 11.30am. After judging is completed you will be able to buy a slice of competition cake/scone which will be priced at 50p each.

Contestants can bring their baked item to Bedford on the morning of Friday 15th June or before 10am on the day of the event. Winners will be announced after 11am.

Entry forms are available on request from the circuit office or from Val tel: 676538 or email: If you wish to submit an entry please let Val know so she has some idea of numbers. You can, of course, just turn up on Saturday 16th June 2018 10.00am
