Bamfurlong Methodist Chapel has been a vital part of Bamfurlong since 1894, sharing the love of Jesus through worship, friendship and service. The original building, affectionately known as the "Tin Chapel", was replaced on the same site in the 1950s by the building we know today.
Regular Events - Activities take place which are designed to meet both spiritual and social needs. If anything below interests you, why not come along? You can be sure of a warm welcome!
1st Tuesday — 1.30pm Fellowship with Holy Communion
3rd Tuesday — 1.30pm (Oct-March), 7.30pm (April-Sept) Prayer Meeting
2nd and 4th Wednesday — "Wednesday Club" — a social for church members and the local community.
Other events take place that combine "social" with the need to raise funds, e.g., occasional coffee mornings and social evenings.
We have links with other churches — The Good Shepherd in Bamfurlong and churches at nearby Stubshaw Cross.
In 2014, a "Friendship Club" was established for people who feel isolated or lonely, particularly following the loss of a loved one. New members welcome.
Also in 2014, a fledgling link was made with the local primary school, with a view to discovering fresh ways of supporting both school and local community.
