Atherton Central Methodist Church is situated at the corner of High St and Bolton Rd.
We are a warm, friendly, caring and inclusive church family and we extend this friendship to all who care to join us, at our Sunday services and at our wide range of social activities and events.
Services are held each Sunday at 9.45am (10am until June 2015) and communion is celebrated monthly. Whilst some of our services are traditional in style we also embrace services incorporating a more contemporary style of worship.
Our church building is a multi- purpose, flexible building (circa 1969) and it is used extensively by the wider community and church members to offer a wide and varied programme of events. Our "Church Café" welcomes all visitors on the 2nd and 4th Thursday in each month and we have regular "Supper Clubs" with a variety of after dinner entertainment on Wednesday evenings throughout the year, as well as numerous Saturday events and activities.
Our aim is to reach out into the local community and through our words and actions encourage others to join our church in embracing God's everlasting Love.
